THE FUTURE OF ART: STUDENT EXHIBIT

Our walls are doused in student imagination and talent this month. This is the 29th year the Alliance has partnered with Lee Arts Educators Association (LAEA) and the show features artwork from Lee County elementary, middle and high schools with hundreds of works in a variety of mediums.

Art Lives Here Billboard Campaign

Our Art Lives Here campaign creates more art for more people by displaying artwork on billboards throughout southwest Florida, transforming advertising space into public art for and by our talented local artists! 35th Annual All Florida Exhbition

This annual show is the most anticipated of the year. As the name suggests, this exhibition features pieces created by artists working in a wide variety of media from all over the 65,000 square miles that make up Florida.

CROSSROADS: GAUTHIER, HAMEL AND HERZOG

Follow the path to where separate realms meet. Neither here nor there, but a place in between. Pushing the margins of their practice and boundaries of interpretation, these three artists meet each other at the “crossroads.” Gautheir, Hamel and Herzog each follow a journey of their own making: discovering the possibilities of symbolism, observation, and experimentation in a unique way.

WINNERS CIRCLE – ART COUNCIL OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA

The Art Council of Southwest Florida’s Winners Circle Biennial Exhibition honors artists who have received top awards from 2018 through 2020. The Art Council of Southwest Florida was formed in 1963 and today consists of nineteen affiliated organizations consisting of members from Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties with a combined membership of over 6,800 artists.

Plays Well With Others

Plays Well with Others is an exhibition of local and national artists who create work that engages with play and toys in interactive, mischievous and subversive ways. The exhibition included 2D and 3D works of all media that both entertain and unsettle installed in the gallery space in an immersive installation.

Deck the Halls is a loosely themed exhibition which encourages appreciation for all holidays of the season! Artists were asked to create works of art or submit installation proposals that utilize holiday imagery, color schemes, decorations, stories or songs in unique ways.

Pain, Process, and Promise Exhibition

In an attempt to process the multilayered issues facing our society and culture, this exhibition asks artists to submit traditional works of art in painting, drawing, mixed media, photography and sculpture but is also looking for proposals in a variety of installation or alternative mediums such a video, projection, memorials, and community based projects.

The Future of Art: High School Exhibit

Following a 28 year tradition, the Alliance for the Arts and the Lee Arts Educators Association (LAEA) have partnered together to present and feature artwork from area schools. This year, the annual exhibition and award ceremony, The Future of Art, has gone digital due to impact of COVID-19. The show features artwork from thirteen area high schools and hundreds of works in a variety of mediums.
