🎭 Volunteer with Alliance for the Arts – October Frights!

Alliance for the Arts is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us create 13 Nights of Stage Fright this October. From outrageous outdoor movies to spine-chilling immersive haunts, we can’t do it without you!

It’s just a jump to the left… and a night you’ll never forget! Join us under the stars for a wild screening of the cult-classic Rocky Horror Picture Show, featuring:

  • Audience Participation & Prop Bags – toast, cards, rice, and more (with volunteer help distributing!)

  • Costume Contest – from fishnets to lab coats, fans dress to impress

  • Outdoor Bar & Concessions – food, drinks, and festive atmosphere

  • Time Warp – learn and join our flash mob of the warpiest warp of all time

✨ This event is high-energy, outrageous, and one of our most anticipated of the season.

Volunteer Roles Include:

  • Audience check-in & ticketing

  • Parking & guest services

  • Prop bag distribution

  • Concessions & bar assistance

  • Event floaters (general support & crowd flow)

Step into the shadows of the Alliance’s most terrifying immersive haunt. Each night offers a new theme—volunteers help bring the fear to life!

  • Thu, Oct 23 – Less Scare, More Care (Family-Friendly) | 6–8 PM

  • Fri, Oct 24 – Hollywood Horrors | 7–10 PM

  • Sat, Oct 25 – Rise of the Undead | 7–10 PM

  • Sun, Oct 26 – Ink Night | 7–10 PM

  • Tue, Oct 28 – Bare Bones | 7–9 PM

  • Wed, Oct 29 – Spooky Stories Night Market | 6–9 PM

  • Thu, Oct 30 – Full Scream A Head (Intensity Night) | 7–10 PM

  • Fri, Oct 31 – Monster Mash Dance Party | 7–10 PM

  • Sat, Nov 1 – The Final Act | 7–10 PM

Volunteer Roles Needed:

  • Scare Actors – haunters, villains, and atmospheric characters

  • Sideshow Entertainers – fortune tellers, aerialists, emcees, storytellers, live performers

  • Front-of-House – tickets, AFTA booth, concessions, bar, parking

  • Changeover Crew – transforming sets between scenes/shows

  • Floaters – costume & prop support, crowd control, guest guidance

Featured Acting Roles:

  • Giddy & Ziggy Grims, Baron Boogalee, Mistress Rictus, Ringmaster Giddy

  • Iconic Horror Villains (Michael Myers, Jason, The Nun, Dracula, Ghostface)

  • One-Act “The Little Boy” (Oct 30) — roles for Anna (25–35), Man (30s), and Boy (8–12; guardian required)

⚠️ Volunteer Call Time: All Curtain Call Carnage volunteers must arrive by 4:30 PM each night to prepare before doors open.
