Event details
The purpose of this course is to increase participants’ appreciation for beer. This will be accomplished by providing experiences to enhance knowledge, exposure, and discernment of the various styles and traditions in brewing. The class will be composed of six sessions, where participants will learn to develop a flavor discernment based on real-world examples (typically 3 different beers per class). Participants will learn the history of certain beer styles, technical aspects of production of beer, and verbiage for describing the beer they taste during each class. The class will culminate in the 6th class with a brewing project where participants provide input to decide upon and brew a beer for participants’ consumption at a later point in time. $30 supply fee to be paid directly to the instructor.
Culmination project day on April 28, 2018
