Youth Portrait Painting (Ages 9 – 18) – Onsite Class

This is a beginning portrait painting class. Using acrylic paint, students will learn basic portrait skills. We will discuss the structure of the face, mixing skin tones, and adding shadow. Students will complete their art with detail and backgrounds.

Supply List

1. Something to paint on (paper or small canvas) approximately 8×10

2. Pencil

3. Reference photo

4. Acrylic paint

5. At least 2 paint brushes.

About the Instructor: Audrey Patterson is a professional art teacher and artist. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Arkansas State University and moved to Florida 3 years ago.
