Discover the star within! Our Youth Theatre Program is designed to provide formal theatre training and to develop self-esteem, discipline and creativity.  This is where kids learn how to be team players, problem solvers, collaborators and good friends – all while having fun and discovering the magic of musical theatre!

Auditions for the 2021-2022 Youth Theatre Season will be held on Sunday, June 13 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. You must pre-register to audition. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, June 19. Rehearsals will be most Saturdays from 9 a,m until 3 p.m. and Mondays from 6 – 9 p.m.

THE SHOWS

The Burnt Part Boys
Recommended Ages: age 13 and older
Showdates: November 19-21, 2021
Rehearsals begin in August

Disney’s The Descendants
Recommended Ages: 6th Grade and older
Showdates: December 3-5, 2021
Rehearsals begin in September

Almost, Maine
Recommended Ages: 11th grade and older
Showdates: February 11-14, 2022
Rehearsals begin in January (a 3rd weekly rehearsal day will be added)

13 The Musical
Recommended Ages: 9th Grade and older
Showdates: April 29-May 1, 2022
Rehearsals begin in February

Musical Auditions: Auditioners should prepare to sing 32 bars or 1 minute of a song in the style of the show. Bring an instrumental track of your audition song. A CD player with aux cord and bluetooth capabilities will be available at auditions. Auditioners should dress comfortably and be prepared to dance. Choreography will be taught and performed during your audition time. Also bring an updated performance resume and a headshot.

Plays: Auditioners should prepare two 1-minute contrasting monologues: one dramatic and one comedic.

If you are joining us for onsite programming, we ask that you adhere to signage and procedures posted on our campus. Face masks are requested at all times inside the Alliance for the Arts building and when social distancing is not possible.
