Musical Theatre Dance – Onsite, Outdoor Class (Ages 11 – 18)

Join Broadway Palm Director/Choreographer Amy McCleary for a mixed-level musical theatre dance class exploring various Broadway dance styles. Learn famous moves from popular shows like Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Saturday Night Fever and more – all outside!  Class will begin with a ballet based warm up and progress to across the floor to work for polishing technique and placement. We will finish with a combination focusing on style, expression, and detailed choreography. Masks and social distancing will be in place for the health and safety of all.

Class requirements: Jazz sneakers or jazz shoes, wear clothes you can move in. Some dance training is recommended. Please bring water bottles for breaks!

Please note: this class is hosted outside on our ArtsPark amphitheatre stage to allow for social distancing. Masks are required to enter the building or when students are unable to social distance. In the case of inclement weather students will be brought into the theatre.
