Tracy Cullimore

Tracy Owen Cullimore is a dedicated fine art painter.  She is recognized mainly for her figurative work but specializes in alla prima portraiture of people and animals.  She works in all media and is always pleased to do commissioned pieces.  She had completed over 300 commissioned pieces.

She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts with and emphasis in Art History and Economics.  Upon graduation, she received extensive formal training in Fine Art, Advertising, and Graphic Design through additional college level work.

She was greatly influenced by two noteworthy local instructors, the multitalented Lucie Macherowski – beloved instructor at the Lee County Alliance for the Arts and the founder and director of ArtStudy Giverny, the internationally acclaimed master, Gale Bennett.  She studied with both of them for many years and is keenly aware of their influence.

Tracy is a Signature Member of the Florida Watercolor Society, a member and supporter of Arts for ACT, the American Impressionists Society, Hirdie Girdie Gallery of Sanibel, Art League of Fort Myers Lee County Alliance for the Arts, Fort Myers Beach Art Association, the Portrait and Figure Painters Society of SW Florida and Anibel/Captiva Art League, and the SW Florida Watercolor Society.  Tracy has won many awards at local and state levels, including Best of Show and named grant awards.  She is continually raising her standards through education and competition.  Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States, Germany, and Canada.  She enjoys teaching and giving back to her community with her art.
