Megan Schoenbohm

Megan began her music career at the age of 2 years old, playing on pots and pans with wooden spoons.  From a very young age, she was hooked on music, wanting to play any instrument she could get her hands on.  As a child, she studied drums and percussion, piano, flute, and also taught herself oboe, guitar and bass.   Megan is a 2004 graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, with a degree in Music Therapy.  While living in Boston, she rediscovered a love for songwriting, and began recording and performing original music around the city. She released 2 solo albums, with one of her songs being featured on a nationally distributed singer-songwriter compilation CD.   After pursuing her life long dream of driving across the country to move to Northern California, Megan became certified to teach interactive music classes with families, and began teaching and performing all over the Bay Area. She currently offers drop-in classes all over Marin, registered classes through Mini Music in Corte Madera, and also offers interactive music performances at birthday parties and special events.   Megan is currently working on her first children’s album “Bubba & Boo”, set to be released in 2018.    When Megan isn’t making music in the classroom, she’s home jamming with her 2 children, Kaia and Xavier (aka “Boo” & “Bubba”).
