Erica Lynn Klopf

Erica Klopf was raised in a nautical gift shop and marine supplies store in old Naples in the late 1980s-1990s. She has a deep appreciation for the forgotten ways of maritime culture as well as the stories of Southwest Florida’s native and wild landscapes. In her work, she seeks to evoke memories of the past, through distantly familiar colorful motifs and textural nostalgia. Her professional study of ceramics began in 2004 at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. She studied painting for two years at Savannah College of Art and Design before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University where she finished undergraduate degrees in Art and Environmental Studies. She was celebrated in Florida Gulf Coast Universities 20 year anniversary Alumni Art Show and also in FGCUs 20th anniversary Pinnacle Magazine profiling 20 alumni Entrepreneurs.

You will find her every first Friday throwing pottery in the streets of downtown Fort Myers during Art Walk, and around town live throwing and vending her pottery.
