Zine Workshops: FULL SERIES

LYR’s Therapeutic Arts Workshops Full Series utilizes the exercises in our original therapeutic arts workbooks in a group setting with the guidance of an instructor. Each workshop offers opportunities for exploration and self-discovery via writing, visual art, music, and meditation. Course participants will each receive a copy of the workbook used during the workshop.

Workshop 1 utilizes Issue 14: 01/18/2025  Technical Difficulties, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditation all about reconnecting with yourself. The art direction for this issue is retro-futuristic, so all the activities incorporate computer tech from the 1990s.

Workshop 2 utilizes Issue 15: 02/15/2025 Metamorph, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditational about coping with change. Materials required for this workshop: a cell phone that can stream audio from a website and headphones.

Workshop 3 utilizes Issue 16: 04/26/2025 Homecoming, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditational about feeling at home in your body. Materials required for this workshop: a cell phone that can stream audio from a website and headphones.

Workshop 4 utilizes Issue 17: 05/17/2025 Riot, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditation all about creating and maintaining a mindset of abundance. Materials required for this workshop: a cellphone that can stream audio from a website and headphones.

Workshop 5 utilizes Issue 18: 06/07/2025 Creature Feature, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditation all about facing the monster that lurks within. Materials required for this workshop: a cell phone that can stream audio from a website and headphones.
