Zine: Love Your Rebellion Therapeutic Arts Workshop 2: Metamorph

LYR’s Therapeutic Arts Workshops utilize the exercises in our original therapeutic artwork books in a group setting with the guidance of an instructor. Each workshop offers opportunities for exploration and self-discovery via writing, visual art, music, and meditation. Course participants will each receive a copy of the workbook used during the workshop. Workshop 2 utilizes Issue 15: Metamorph, which contains 3 activities and 1 guided meditational about coping with change. Materials required for this workshop: a cell phone that can stream audio from a website and headphones.

Welcome to Love Your Rebellion Issue 15: Metamorph. Here is a snapshot of the activities that will be offered during this workshop:

Activity 1 – Aria, Song of Self: build resilience by creating a song of the self.
Activity 2 – Gather Your Resources: identify your values, then create a visual representation of them through collage.
Activity 3 – Map It Out: identify where you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go through drawing and writing.
Activity 4 – Flicker & Flame: find your spark again through body movement.
