Soulful Solo Performance – Onsite Class (Ages 18+)

Coronavirus, elections, social unrest, violence, and disruption of life…it goes on and on. In describing great acting Shakespeare wrote that the job of the actor is “to hold, as ’twere, the mirror up to nature, to show virtue her own feature, scorn her own image, and the very age and body of the time his form and pressure.” The same can be said for all artists.

In this class we will explore what is going on inside the artist during these times and create work that is reflective of what the artist sees in their own mirror. Actors and writers will learn how to craft their own solo performance work using their own voice, experience, and ideas.
