Event details

This class will cover composition and basic perspective drawing leading to the creation of compelling landscape drawings. In the process students will improve their drawing skills no matter from what level they begin. Students will receive instruction on how to choose and alter reference photos. They will learn of materials to assist in the creation of interesting art and how to apply those materials to the medium. Artists such as Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth will be used for inspiration. Come relax and create in this fun drawing class!

Drawing Supply List
• Selection of drawing pencils
• Drawing paper 9/12”
• Tracing paper 9×12”
• Graphite paper
• Both kneaded and pink erasers
• OPTIONAL: micro pens, colored pencils, charcoal

Painting Supply List
Paint colors: Alizarin crimson
Cadmium red
Cadmium yellow light
Pthalo Blue
Ultramarine blue
Ivory black
Titanium white

Brushes:
Filberts sizes 2, 4, 6, 8
Soft synthetic brushes
Few bristle brushes (larger sizes)
Palette knife

Miscellaneous:
Paper towels
Container for water (acrylics)
Sealed container for mineral spirits (oils)
9×12 canvas paper pad
Palette paper or freezer paper or paper plates

Please note: this class is hosted onsite in our classroom. If you are joining us for onsite programming, we ask that you adhere to signage and procedures posted on our campus.
