Painting with Francesco (Ages 18+)

Francesco taught painting at University and College level before the many Art Centers, his painting class is designed for beginners to advanced students. Beginners will learn how to handle the medium and how to mix color effectively. Intermediate students will copy old masters, matching colors and brushstrokes. Advanced students will be helped integrating art history and contemporary art concepts in their personal work.
Francesco’s one on one assistance and feedback ensures beginning student’s understanding and keeps intermediate students engaged and challenged.

Supply list:
* Palette to mix colors
* Canvas boards: 9×12” or comparable size
* Odorless mineral spirits and a sealed container (for oil colors only)
* Suggested Paint: Oil Colors or Golden Open Acrylics in the following colors
* Titanium White
* Black
* Alizarin Crimson
* Cadmium Red (fire engine red)
* Cadmium Yellow Dark (sunset yellow)
* Hansa Yellow Opaque (lemon yellow)
* Ultramarine Blue
* Prussian Blue
* 3 interlocking Hog Bristle Round brushes – size 1, 2 & 3
* Linseed oil or acrylic medium golden open thinner
* Whatever other brushes you have (filbert, flat, fan)
* Paper towel
