Paint Your Favorite Pet with Shirley Hales (Ages 16+)

Portray your adorable friend in a tribute painting in the medium of your choice. Learn how to create fur, feathers or even fins unique to your pet. Capture their personality depicted through their eyes and body language. Bring a favorite photo(s) for reference. Shirley will demonstrate
texturing techniques and provide hands-on assistance to help you complete your painting ready for framing.

Supplies Needed:
Several sheets of 140 lb (or heavier) watercolor paper or canvas – (for practice and to complete
an 8 x 10 painting)
Flat brushes ¾” or 1 “ AND ¼”
Round brushes No 5 or 6 AND No 10 or 12 All with fine points

Misc: Container for water, paper towels, palette with space for mixing paint, support board for
