This workshop is a 90-minute experience exploring Bill T. Jones, Paul Kaiser & Shelley Eshkar’s dance technology piece, Ghostcatching. The session will begin with a gentle movement-based warm up that can be done seated or standing. Then participants will engage with photographs and simple art materials such as chalk, as a springboard for creating personal gestures and short movement phrases. The workshop will conclude with watching excerpts of Ghostcatching followed by a reflective conversation about the piece and the dance-making process participants experienced in the workshop.
