Turn your unused jewelry into something, fun, beautiful and new!

Create a statement necklace by sorting through your jewelry box, using bits and pieces of old, broken or forgotten treasures and found objects to assemble into your own, one of a kind repurposed creation. Broken jewelry is great for crafting local artist and instructor Jayne Baker will show you just how to twist it into something inspired and gorgeous for you to wear and enjoy.

The instructor will have pliers and cutters for students to borrow and use. This class is suitable for ages 16 or older.

Supplies:

  • E-6000 adhesive glue with fine tip
  • Jewlry pliers
  • Cutters
  • Bits and pieces of jewelry, buttons, found objects, chains, beads, keychains, pendants, beads, necklaces and finidngs
  • Beading wire
  • Cosures
  • Jump rings
  • Crimp Beads

Optional and alternative: A $15 supply fee paid directly to the instructor will include beading wire or cord, closures, crimp beads, jump rings, findings and assorted beads. Glue, pliers, cutters, and bits and pieces of jewelry are not included in this.

This course is part of the Alliance for the Arts’ Summer Art Workshop series, which runs Saturdays from June to August and offers aspiring artists and families an opportunity to keep their creative juices flowing over the summer months with fun and enriching art workshops for the entire family.
