Mindfulness is the practice of developing a friendly or curious attention to the present moment without judgment. Hundreds of research studies demonstrate that mindfulness increases indicators of well-being and decreases psychological and physical symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and pain. Mindfulness helps us be more at home with ourselves and more at ease with others. This six week, 90 minute per session course, includes talks, a practice time (including sitting and walking meditations), and a question and answer period. Prior meditation experience is not a prerequisite. The course includes meditation, discussion, and resources.
