In the Theatre Lobby: Bruce Hecksel

The Terra Guitarra (Landscape of Guitar) series is designed for healing. When you think of the symbol, ‘guitar’, or of a bucolic landscape, or when you view abstractions they arouse feelings. For most these are feelings of beauty, simplicity and of nurture and when they are combined together there is a deeper experience. This experience allows the viewer to access the transformational creative healing power of nature on conscious and subconscious levels. Science tells us that everything is a vibration by painting guitar trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, clouds, birds, I’m suggesting that all of our reality has a voice. The whole world is literally singing. The degree to which we listen is the level to which we hear the messages the world has for us right out our front door.

All of the paintings hanging in the gallery will be a part of The Landscape of Guitar Animated Painting Concert Experience playing at the Alliance for the Arts Saturday, November 27th at 7pm.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. during our weekly farmer’s market.
