The Alliance for the Arts GreenMarket is continuing its decade old tradition of free, urban farming workshops on Saturday, October 31 at 10:30 a.m.
Farmer, professional chef, lifelong natural healer Tatiana Logvinova of Green Paradise Eco Farm will present The Secrets to Good Nutrition: Practical Guidelines and a Meals Demo – and just in time to help balance out the upcoming and inevitable holiday overindulgence!
Good health is based on good nutrition; the modern food industry offers a myriad of different options and the information available is so vast and often contradictory, it can become difficult to choose what to eat. Tatiana, expert organic grower and creative, raw food master will provide insight on general rules to keep our bodies fit and fed in harmony with nature and minimal impact in our big ecosystem named planet Earth.
Have fun, learn new things, then sample and shop Tatiana’s booth and the GreenMarket to put your newfound knowledge to work!
Grab a chair or a blanket and a notepad for this hourlong presentation followed by a Q&A. All workshops are free, but small donations are accepted to help the Alliance for the Arts continue programs and activities that benefit the community.
The GreenMarket has been a hub for local backyard veggie gardeners and organic farmers for over 10 years. It acts as a space where knowledge is shared freely, with the goal of making Fort Myers and southwest Florida more sustainable: more growers big and small, better food, introduction of biodiversity and resilience in our gardens and fields. The weekly Saturday market is rain or shine from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The workshop will be conducted rain or shine. The Alliance campus offers 10 acres of open space, so appropriate social distancing will be maintained.
