From Purrs to Paws: Sculpt a Cat or a Dog with Jeff Ocasio

Are you a cat person or a dog person? Choose your animal and join Jeff for a fun and creative class of cat or dog sculpting with masking tape! This welcoming environment caters to artists of all levels, from those just starting out to seasoned creators looking to playfully explore new techniques.

Jeff’s teaching style is relaxed, conversational, and encourages everyone’s individual creativity. You will learn the techniques of how to layer and manipulate the tape to achieve the desired shape and texture using masking tape, paper, wire, and glass marbles for the eyes, to create your very own feline or canine companion.

At the end of the class, you’ll take home your own unique sculpture, embodying the charm of contemporary folk art. Plus, you’ll receive an instructional handout on how to seal and paint your sculpture at home with easy-to-find materials.

The class will kick off with a short studio tour of the ocasiocasa art studio and other artists’ studios at DAAS CO-OP Gallery and The Union Artist Studios at the Arts & Eats Café.
