Fridays with Francesco: “Modigliani – Nu Coche in blue” (All Levels)

In this workshop, we will focus on Nu Couché by Amedeo Modigliani, exploring the elegance and expressive line that define his iconic style.

Students will work in blue pastel on 80 lb white paper, with materials provided by Francesco (blue pastel included). This subject was chosen not only for its beauty in composition and chiaroscuro, but also because it offers rich opportunities to revisit foundational drawing concepts such as proportion, contour, tonal value, and simplified form.

The workshop will include:

• An introduction to Modigliani and the featured artwork

• A lesson overview

• Step-by-step drawing demonstrations

• Individual guidance, assistance, and feedback
