Event details

Join Francesco on the second Friday of each month for a workshop on different aspects of figure drawing.  These workshops are designed to give beginners a way to understand and learn how to draw and intermediate to advanced students a way to improve their drawing, focusing on the human figure.

This workshop is focused on the benefit of working on sketchbooks. This important habit will keep your skills sharp, help with creativity with the no-pressure of a deadline or to do finished work.

1. Value studies sketchbook (charcoal, erases and fixative): We will analyze work from masters like: Odd Nerdrum, Zorn, Rembrandt

2.  Ballpoint pen sketchbook (ballpoint pen): We will focus on gestures and structure of human body from photographic reference, with particular attention to cross hatching technique.

3.  Blind drawing sketchbook (fine tip marker or fountain ink pen) We will draw hands and each other portraits

Sketchbook sizes can vary, (6”x8”, 6”x6”, 3.5”x5 etc.)
Style varies as well, Spiral Bound coil, hard cover, soft cover, white paper colored or toned paper. Pick what you think will be best for you.
I suggest sketchbook small enough that you can carry around and use daily

$5 to be paid directly to the instructor for photographic reference.
