Foundations of Singing (Ages 16+)

This vocal class is intended for ages 16+ who have completed the Group Voice Workshops or have experience in the basics of singing – breath, pitch control, vowel emphasis, etc.  Students will look at such things as tone, warmth and color in their singing.  Also, there will be a discussion of the different requirements of singing by genre – Broadway, vs Country and Western, vs Rock and Roll, vs Classical….  Diagnostic work will look for areas of potential, based on the desired direction of the individual student.  After this class students should have a clear picture of what they need to work on to improve their singing in their direction of choice.
