Have you always wanted to write, but felt intimidated?

Join English instructor Cara Coble for a Flash Fiction Challenge workshop to learn about the art of microfiction. Flash fiction is a challenging and fun way to approach developing a narrative without overthinking your words. The Flash Fiction challenge encourages writers to create short stories no longer than 1,000 words based on genre, location, and object assignment.
Aspiring writers will receive an email with a genre, a location, and a random object that must be included in the story they create to bring to class.

The 2-hour workshop will focus on the following:
● Developing a complete narrative arc.
● Developing characters and a plot that balance each other out to compel readers forward.
● Developing one narrative thread that is laser-focused.
● Developing realistic and impactful dialogue.
