Drawing and Painting Portraits (Age 16+)

This class will build on fundamental drawing skills and complexities of flesh tones, moving into the application of paint in a relaxed and fun environment. Students are welcome to use acrylic or oil paint.  In this class we will use  references from instructor, students photos and, for the last class, students will paint from a live model.

Some drawing and painting experience helpful.

$15.00 model fee to instructor

Supplies Needed:

• drawing pencils
• pink erasers
• blenders
• sketchbook
• acrylic or oil paint
• colors: burnt umber, burnt sienna ,burnt umber ,yellow ocher, cadmium red ,cadmium orange, thalia blue, sap green, mars black, titanium white
• brushes different sizes
• thinner for oil paint
• pallet or paper plates
• canvas paper
• canvas 16×20(for last class)
