Dragon Head Walking Stick – Sculpting with Jeff Ocasio

Discover the magic of sculpting as you create a grinning dragon head on a bamboo walking stick. In this hands-on class, Jeff will guide you through sculpting a grinning dragon using masking tape, paper, wire, and glass marbles for the eyes. You’ll learn how to form expressive features, from curved snouts to sharp teeth, while mastering Jeff’s signature sculpting techniques.
This workshop is perfect for all skill levels but will especially appeal to those who love detailed work and want to explore the art of teeth-making and expressive character design. All materials are provided, including a homegrown bamboo walking stick ready for transformation. By the end of class, you’ll have your own fierce-yet-friendly Dragon Head Walking Stick and a take-home instructional guide for sealing and painting it using easy-to-find materials.
The class kicks off with a short tour of the ocasiocasa art studio, along with other artists’ studios within DAAS CO-OP Gallery and The Union Artist Studios at the Arts & Eats Café.
