Event details

Let’s get you comfortable with your DSLR camera! In this class, you’ll learn how to use the Manual mode on your camera to control your Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, and White Balance. We’ll also cover alternative shooting modes (Program Mode, Aperture Priority, and Shutter Priority), exposure compensation, and how to get the best photos in low-light situations.

Supply List:

  • A digital camera, preferably a DSLR camera with interchangeable lenses.
  • Alternatively, you may have a Point and Shoot camera of good quality and with the capacity to adjust exposure functions manually (F-stop, Shutter Speed, ISO settings, Manual Focus, etc.)
  • A suitable Tripod for your camera size and weight. To be used during group outings and in class for illustration purposes.
  • Your camera’s manual
  • Fully charged battery
  • One – two memory cards

Please note: This class is hosted both onsite and outside on our ArtsPark grounds. If you are joining us for onsite programming, we ask that you adhere to signage and procedures posted on our campus. Face masks are required at all times and you are advised to keep 6 feet (2 meters) between you and others. Class size is limited to 10 students and 1 instructor so register today to ensure your spot to create with us!
