Beginners and intermediate students alike are welcome to join Kevin in this character and figure development class!  Students will learn how to create or advance their own comics characters and learn or advance their understanding of figure drawing.  Those with experience will expand their skill by creating characters in sequential format and backgrounds.

Topics will include:

  • Anatomy, perspective, and precision
  • Scaling and proportions of the human body
  • Character development
  • Lay out and sequential formats (storytelling)
  • Shading
  • Background incorporation (1 and 2 dimensional)

  • Assortment of pencils
  • Charcoal
  • Graphite
