College Level 1300C Drawing Course with Francesco Gillia (Ages 15+)

Francesco Gillia has been teaching University and College Art classes since 2009. If you are interested in learning how to draw, or missed the opportunity to take an Art class in college, or need a head start for College, this is your chance!

This 12 week college level course is designed to give the students the skills needed to complete a competent figurative drawing. Line control and sensitivity, shape, perspective, and development of value for light, form, and space are the foundation for all visual arts disciplines, like painting, printmaking, sculpture, illustration, computer animation, architecture, also graphic design and product design. The course content for ART Drawing I is beneficial not only to beginner students but also advanced students that may have forgotten or never encountered foundational concepts of drawing.

The following represent the skills that you will work on in this course:
* Developing accurate proportional relationships.
* Planning the drawing for the page.
* Line control.
* Development of form and space using isometric and linear perspective.
* Using value to illustrate volumetric form and planar form.
* Rendering forms of varying complexity for light and shadow.
