It’s 1929 at the Kit-Kat Club in Berlin, just as the Nazis are ascending, when American writer Cliff Bradshaw strikes up a relationship with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles. At the same time, Fraulein Schneider, owner of the boarding house where Cliff has rented a room, has become engaged to Herr Schultz, a Jewish greengrocer. It is at their engagement party that a friend, Ernst Ludwig, shows up wearing a Nazi armband.
The Master of Ceremonies at the Kit-Kat Club promises this is a place you can come to forget your troubles. But during the Nazi regime, was there anywhere you could really go to escape the horrors of this period in history?
The songs and choreography, as well as the story’s relevance, will capture your heart, creating a lasting memory.
