ArtPlay: Visual Arts

THIS WILL BE A 2 CLASS SESSION ONLY

Come create with the Alliance! In this class, your student will be introduced to basic art techniques, which are the building blocks that will provide a solid foundation for future art lovers and artists. Students will explore with clay, paints, papers, mixed media and more. This unique learning experience places an emphasis on having fun while exploring creativity! Family Initiative staff accompany all art instructors during ArtPlay!

ASD Visual Art classes are designed to engage students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the arts while focusing on identity development, self-awareness, self-esteem, social communication, and building positive coping skills.  Classes are open to ages 8 –25.

Students must:

• Respond to verbal direction
• Independently toilet
• Not require 1 on 1 supervision

All supplies are provided.
