The Alliance for the Arts is seeking an Executive Director to lead our multi-disciplinary nonprofit arts and cultural organization located in southwest Florida. With a $1.4 million dollar budget and 1000+ members, we are looking for an enthusiastic, business-minded, cultural administrator to lead our organization into its next decade of continued growth and success. Working with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will drive strategic direction, provide leadership over the organization’s programs and activities, lead and develop staff and maintain positive relationships with arts organizations, members, patrons, public officials, donors and key community leaders to foster the organization’s growth and fulfill its mission to transform lives and improve the community through the arts. The Executive Director will possess a combination of business acumen, sophisticated fundraising and development skills while also demonstrating strategic thinking, cultural sensitivity and a passion for arts and culture.
The Alliance for the Arts is a vibrant and welcoming nonprofit visual and performing arts center located in the heart of southwest Florida. Our year-round schedule of events has become a staple for our community to connect with each other and to the arts during engaging gallery exhibitions, inspiring art classes and stimulating theatre productions. The Alliance is creative space that spurs and supports self-expression, imagination and equity.
Designated as the local arts agency for Lee County by the State of Florida, the Alliance is located on a 10 acre campus and provides innovative programs and services to artists, arts organizations, educators, youth and the general public. Over the last 10 years, the Alliance has seen year over year budget growth in both earned revenue and community support, 60% growth in membership, 100% growth in onsite arts activities and the completion of a 1.5 million campus enrichment project.
Compensation: Salary range, $65,000-80,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental and vision plans and a generous paid-time-off policy.
