Arts Accessibility for All

JOIN THE ALLIANCE FOR THE ARTS IN MAKING A TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE!

Join us in supporting the Arts Accessibility for All initiative to foster a truly inclusive artistic community in Lee County! The Alliance aims to raise $25,000 to implement various initiatives that break down barriers and foster a more inclusive artistic community. Your donation will help install automatic door openers, expand free Family ArtLab workshops to underserved communities, and will provide scholarships for aspiring artists. Together, let’s make art accessible to everyone and enrich lives through creativity and connection.

DOORS

The Arts Accessibility initiative aims to install push button ADA accessible automatic door openers at both entrances, ensuring seamless access for all visitors, including those with disabilities and artists alike.

FAMILY ART LABS EXPANSION

The Alliance is further dedicated to broadening its array of complimentary Family Art Lab workshops as part of this initiative. These hands-on art experiences are free of cost to the community and focus on bringing the arts to underserved and diverse communities. The Alliance currently offers Art Labs every 3rd Saturday on the Alliance campus and also serves the Pine Manor Community Center, and Thrive in Cape Coral. The Alliance plans to extend its efforts to include new Art Labs at more offsite locations, aiming to engage over 14,400 community members this year.

YOUTH ART SCHOLARSHIPS

The Alliance has made the commitment to fund every single scholarship request. Last year 26% of campers were on scholarship, making it the most accessible art camp in Lee County. There is a pressing need to fund scholarships for classes and camps, as these programs play a vital role in the educational and personal development of our community.

Striving to be a leader in accessibility, the Alliance currently provides inclusive experiences for its patrons. From amplified audio and audio-described performances in the Foulds Theatre to tactile pre-show experiences for the visually impaired, and free art classes for those on the autism spectrum. The Alliance strives to ensure that everyone can fully engage with the arts.
