Each 1 week session will be a new theme: Learn about famous artists, Discover evidence of prehistoric dinosaurs.. Create amazing creatures that live under the ocean. All by exploring the arts with art projects. Create, play games and make memories with new and old friends this summer at the Alliance!
New this year! Digital Arts session
Full Day Campers may add on this exciting digital arts class. Taught by our Digital Arts Instructor your camper will learn how to create characters, explore various programs, and so much more!. This session has an additional fee, and can be added onto regular camp registration. Class will meet 3 times during the week, for 1.5 hours each time.
Session Themes:
Weeks 1 and 4: World Art Explorers- Explore new places around the globe and discover artists from that region. Learn about artists like French born artist Claude Monet and his seasideimpressionistic paintings, or Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and why she is called the “Princess of polka dots.”
Weeks 2 and 5: Underwater Explorers- Dive deep into the ocean and learn about different marine life. Create sea themed art projects.
Weeks 3 and 6: Prehistoric World Explorers- Go back in time and search for evidence of dinosaurs. Learn about prehistoric plants and a variety of dinosaurs that roamed Earth millions of years ago.
Week 7: Creative Explorers- This last week of art explorers camp focuses on famous artists. Discover different art movements from Renaissance, Cubism, Impressionism to Pop art and lots in between. Spend time exploring famous paintings and trying old and new techniques.
Camp Hours: 9AM-4PM
Extended Care: 8AM-8:45AM and 4:10PM-5PM
Pack a lunch, water bottle, and snack to keep your camper energized for the full day of fun! There is no refrigeration available so include a cool pack in the lunchbox if needed.
Spots are limited to 45 campers per week, so enroll early!
