Alliance for the Arts Summer Camps Registration Will Open Feb. 13

The Alliance offers three summer camp options: Minis Arts Camp for 4 and 5 year olds, Summer Arts Camp for grades K – 6, and Musical Theatre Intensive Camp for grades 7-12.  Registration for will open on Feb. 13 for Alliance members and on Feb. 27 for non-members. Campers must turn 5 by Sept. 1 to be eligible for Minis Arts Camp.

Minis and Summer Arts Camp allow children to discover their creative abilities by taking part in visual and performing arts following a different theme each week. Both camps are held at the Alliance campus. There is an art exhibition and final stage performance each Friday afternoon. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended care available from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for a fee. Summer Arts Camp is $160 per week for Alliance Members or $200 per week for non-members. Minis Camp is $200 per week for Alliance Members or $240 per week for non-members.

Themes include:

  • Week One: “Dragon Tales” (June 5 – 9)
  • Week Two: “A Glitch In Time” (June 12 – 16)
  • Week Three: “Bright Lights, Big City” (June 19 – 23)
  • Week Four: “Big Country” (June 26 – 30)
  • Week Five: “We’ve Got Talent” (July 10 – 14)
  • Week Six: “Stranded” (July 17 – 21)
  • Week Seven: “Bandits & Badges” (July 24 – 28)
  • Week Eight: “Weird Science” (July 31 – Aug. 4)

Musical Theatre Intensive camp is held at Broadway Palm’s rehearsal space in the Royal Palm Plaza. Camp runs 9AM-4PM, Monday through Friday. Daily arrival time 8:45 – 9:00 a.m. and there is extended care available. There is a final performance each Friday at 3:00 p.m. Each week is $175 for Alliance Members or $220 for non-members.

Themes include:

  • Week One: “Mary Poppins” – all levels (July 10-14)
  • Week Two: “Pop/Rock Star” – all levels (July 17-21)
  • Week Three: “White Christmas” – all levels (July 24-28)
  • Week Four: “Broadway Palm Season Review” – advanced students (July 31 – Aug. 4)

“Our camps engage kids in dynamic and imaginative learning,” says Brandi Couse, Director of Operations and Education. “By being exposed to a wide spectrum of the arts, campers unlock their full creative potential.”

You may become a member to take advantage of early registration and discounts. Teen volunteer and scholarship applications will be available beginning February 13.
