Event details

In this workshop we will study a sculpture by old master Michelangelo Buonarroti. We will use the subtractive technique, the paper is toned with a layer of charcoal rst. Darks are added and highlights are erased out.
This will be EXTREMELY MESSY, make sure not to wear your nice clothes!
To develop the darker gray, a little charcoal is added and then it is immediately
evened up with a stump. If you use a chamois cloth instead, it will wipe the
darker charcoal o of the drawing. All lessons will include introduction, lesson overview, drawing demonstration and one on one assistance and feedback.
Francesco will also cover concepts such as sighting, squinting, shape, line, value,
edges, at vs 3d, depth of eld. Organic shapes vs architectural shapes.
