Event details

The class will help guide participants as they awaken to the depths and wonders of their dream-selves, using their dreams as a means of furthering their own artistic expression, and provide themselves with self-understanding and healing that is often more sophisticated and effective than any therapy available in an office, out of a book, or off the pharmacy shelf.

Each of the four sessions focuses on a different stage of dreaming as an art with an overview of how it has been practiced in different cultures throughout history. In every class, participants will also produce a work of dreaming art:

  1. Methods for incubating dreams by creating dream space, establishing our own pre-dream rituals, and setting a dream intention. We will make a Native American dream catcher.
  2. Navigating oneself through lucid dreams and using them to write sensational dream poems.
  3. Recalling and analyzing dreams. Participants will create a dream journal.
  4. Using dreams to produce fine art as a means of healing and inspiration. We will create a personal dream collage.

There is a $20 supply fee, to be paid directly to the instructor at the first class
