Event details

Join Family Initiative and the Alliance for the Arts for our musical theatre summer camp!

Our final week of camp is dedicated to young artists and actors with autism spectrum disorder (ages 9 – 25). During this week, campers will work with Broadway Palm director and choreographer Amy McCleary with assistant from Family Initiative. Campers will work on all aspects of musical theatre – exploring music, dance and acting. Afternoons will consist of learning music and vocal technique, scene study and basic theatrical moment. The week concludes with a performance at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre on Friday, August 6 at 4 p.m.

Make new friends, laugh a lot and enjoy the excitement of musical theatre! This week will be based on connection, collaboration and letting every camper find their own way to shine.

Meals are not included – please bring a snack and lots of water! Students must also respond to verbal direction, be independently toilet and not require one-on-one supervision.

Please note: this camp is kept at a low-capacity to keep students responsibly distanced. Campers, camp instructors, camp volunteers and Broadway Palm staff are required to wear face masks at all times when inside the building and when social distancing is not possible.
