2012 OUTDOOR FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!!!
Family movie nights are back beginning Friday, February 24th. Bring your chairs, blankets and picnic baskets and enjoy family friendly movies under the stars, projected onto a portable movie screen. Suggested $5 donation. Generous support provided by Briers CPA, Riverside Realty, Staging Matters and Winged Foot Title.
Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events
February 24th at 7:30pm
Starring Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law. Based on the popular children’s books this PG-rated film tells the story of the Baudelaire children, who lose both of their parents in a fire. The children are sent from relative to relative before winding up the dastardly Count Olaf, who knows the children are to receive a huge inheritance when the oldest girl is of age and wants their money for himself. The highly intelligent children figure out his intentions in this devilishly fun comedic adventure. ART POEMS

Artists and poets have collaborated to produce poems inspired by artworks and artworks inspired by poems. During the presentation, poets will perform their poems in the Foulds Theatre while the artwork is exhibited on stage and in the Member Galleries. $10 suggested donation.

An Evening Of Stories & Song

We're partnering with the Gulf Coast Symphony to present local literary celebrities, Amy Bennett-Williams, editor of the New-Press' Tropicalia and her husband, Florida Weekly columnist Roger Williams, in a unique program of stories and music. Enjoy stories written exclusively for this intimate event punctuated by musical performances by members of the Gulf Coast Symphony. Following the performance, join musicians and storytellers for dessert and wine in the Alliance for the Arts gallery. Seating to this event limited to 150 guests.
Tickets are $50, VIP tickets are $100 and include an autographed copy of
Amy Bennett-Williams' recent book, Images of America: Along the Caloosahatchee River.

First Annual Artists’ Studio Tour
Saturday, April 28, 9AM–4PM
$45 per person
Join us for a day long tour of more than 9 artists' studios in the Fort Myers area. Not only will you have a fun day, but your ticket price will help support cultural and educational programming at the Alliance. Pick up your ticket and map at the Alliance between 9 – 11 a.m. and enjoy a complimentary breakfast while you browse our Gift Shop and gallery. You decide the order and the length of time spent in each studio. The studios will be open between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This is your opportunity to watch the artists work as well as to talk with them about their creative processes—the how and why of their artwork. The names of participating artists will be released soon - you won't be disappointed! Made possible with generous support from Leigh Frizzell Hayes.
